I did a web search for some parts I needed. Universal Cycles in Portland OR came up. Anyone done business with them?

I've bought several things from them. Good to do business with, though not the cheapest.

I've used them once or twice, no problems at all.

They pissed me off once, but I got over it and buy from them when the price is right.

I bought the worst suspension fork ever made, and maybe the most prematurely released product ever, the Tange Shockblade, way back, for my Bridgestone MB1. No problem, not their fault. They, like me, quickly realized it sucked and they discontinued it. But I owned it and needed the upgrade parts - suspension travel extender, better seals, etc. Having discontinued carrying the product, they wouldn't help with any of that.

Basically, that is the problem of mail order generally, and the hidden cost of non-shop sales. You are on your own a lot of the time.
