The usual suspects met up @ Bear Brook this AM to falling snow. After deciding on wheels instead of skis, we made our way up Podunk Rd. It was tough going in the powdery snow. Here's a shot of the boys steaming up at the top of the first climb.

We ended up riding to Bear Hill Pond through the GS camp. Riding on the ice was decent with 3-4" of powder on top of the ice.

We played around on the rock that in the summer you have to swim to.

Used the continous shooting mode on my camera to capture images and edited them together.

Even the dog had a blast!

The cruise down Podunk Rd was fast, squirrely and fun.

Overall a great workout, it felt good just to get out.

Most excellent, J. I love those multiple exposure images; can't wait to try shooting a few of those.

Bear Brook rocks.

Nice photos

Jason (or any of the other photo experts out there) how do you edit together the continuous shots? I took some photos in continuous mode and and want to edit them into 1 photo. I have the software that came w/ my canon camera (zoom browser EX), I also have photoshop elements 2.0.

Any help would be appreciated

I think you lasso the riders using Elements and paste them into one background. And don't pan the camera while shooting.

I don't know Elements, but in Photo Editor or in JASC, you just select the rider using the select tool, copy it and paste it into the other picture. Repeat for each additional "rider".

There are three tricks - the first as Radair says, you need to take all the pictures from the same vantage point, no panning. Second - there can't be any overlap between the "riders". Third - you need to line up the pasted in images perfectly which can be somewhat difficult.

Just as Jisch said. I was inspired by his images and also have been using Microsoft Photo Editor (Part of Office 2002/XP) to do the editing. It is really simple to do, and yes, very addicting. I've got to start getting some drop sequences...

thanks for the info guys, I dont have MS photo editor but figured out in photoshop elements you use "merge", my photo sequence had the shots too close together so this is the best I could do.

Yeah, great pics and edits. Have to check if my camera will take those sequential shots or not.
This hijacked thread should have come out of the Jisch article thread...... Oh well.

Thanks for the info.

Still using my 2MP Canon a60. I still like the 43WR, but haven't picked one up.
