Saturday ride

3 of us rode in FOMBA this morning. It was cold but conditions were good, the singletrack had ice, packed snow & some clear spots. The fireroads were solid ice. Studs were nice to have for peace of mind (as someone else has said) and security of limb.

100 yards into the first trail I broke my chain into two pieces :o Had one link in my pack but had to a borrow a second one. That the first time I've had that happen.

We did 2 1/2 hours, and it was so good to get out and ride. I hope these conditions stay around for a while.

Are there alot of snow mobiles and dog sleds out there?

There are a fair amount in the area to the east and north. I haven't really seen any in the area of the singletrack, although their tracks are present. We tend to ride early... they seem to sleep.

I almost sent you a PM'd yesterday asking if you were riding today! Looks like I Should of . I had to go through the area and was looking for a ride. But I rode with JustBill so all is good , another time .
