I have a 17" zion frame. was originally going to build it up as a ss but ran into some issue's with the rear drops. previous owner dremmelled them out to 13mm so that he could run a thru axle. I REPEAT, THE REAR DROPS HAVE BEEN DREMMELLED TO ABOUT 13MM!!! After much deliberation with my local shop i decided to by a new frame. Multiple things can be done to eleviate the problem. First, a washer can be tack welded to the rear drops to make up the extra space. Second, the drops can be dremmelled to 14mm and you can run a bmx rear hub. Third, you can cut off the rear drops and weld new ones in their place. I believe we found new drops for about $25 and, since the frame is steel, should be a snap to weld the new ones one. or this frame would make a great project for any of you amateur welders.
