What a great way to start a day .

along the lines of Jisch's Swamp riding .

Took my kids down to the local pond . I took my Bike , equipped with studded snow tires . and a piece of Rope and a Sled.

what a blast!! the kids thought it was great , it was Hard work , but it waas not as hard to pull them as I expected .

Turns were fun, it would cause the sled to whip. a couple times they got in front of me , and a couple time they almost pulled my rear wheel out from under me.

it was awesome  and My kids had a great time , I was soaked in sweat after a hour and half of it. unfortunatly , I did not see that the camera was set to in minimum ressolution so most of the pics just didn't come out , but her eare a couple to give you an idea

I too enjoyed the early morning, starting with a pre-sunrise spin over to the BH.......trails were surprisingly nice....ya gotta look for the icy spots but mostly was the loud crunching snow under my tires......I actually had to stop acoupla times in order to hear myself think......no pics, wooulda been nice to document

where is that Jisch ? After the other ride I just did , that make the words "ROAD TRIP" sound like a great idea.

Westwoods in Guilford, CT. It probably got muddy later in the day - it was pretty much all frozen when we were there. Its way down in the southern part of CT, by New Haven.

Glad to see folks got out, it was beautiful out. Rode at Burlingame for 1:30 and it was 50 deg. when I got back. No snow down there either :)

Mrs. MTBTOM and I had a damn good ride down at Otis today - the trails and weather were perfect ... We even ran into the old coot out there ! ! ! !

I also hit Otis this afternoon. Thermometer at my house read nearly 60 degrees. I was able to bike in shorts on snow free trails! Merry Xmas, indeed!!

Cool. We went down to the local pond after dinner (in the dark). The kids were wearing headlamps, I towed them around the pond. It was really fun. On one run I pedalled as hard as I could then turned, dang that 80lb girl had some force when she swung around me. It was all I could do to keep my bike upright.

Way fun. I can't wait to try it in the daylight.
