Go with a wide tire, studs are kind of overkill. We went out on Sunday AM, lots of work but the guys with the wider tires had an easier time than those with studs (me and a few others). The studded tires were knifing into the snow making it more of a PITA. Fun ride but tough. I'm going to try tomorrow around 7:15 AM, hopefully with the cold everything will be pretty solid. I'll be running 2.4s aired low.

Great considering I stayed in bed! ;D I would imagine that Foxboro is very much the same as it was on Sunday. A lot of work and better with a wider tire. I most likely won;t be getting out there this week due to my work schedule. That means road riding at night for the next two nights :P I should've dragged my *ss out of bed this morning.
I'll be heading down to Burlingame for Saturday AM. It's about 50 minutes south of Providence and is bare. I'm guessing Bluff Point in Groton CT is pretty bare as well. I also heard Otis is in good shape too.

Anyone ride Foxboro over the last few days? I'm thinking of heading there early tomorrow AM before the heavy rain comes in. I'm just trying to make sure it's not super icy after the melt/refreeze.

Hey Bdee,
If you're going, bring studded tires. Basically, the trails that get a bunch of foot traffic have this layer of trampled snow that has turned to ice from the thaw-freeze stuff that's been the norm for tha last few day/night cycles. Otherwise, you'll fiind that the trails are primo (the ones further out & more remote have little to no snow or ice). I rode Borderland tonight, (just got back 10 mins ago) and it was pretty much the same. If you go early, I expect that it'll be nice...wish I could join you, but I'll be at work.

I was afraid of that, I may just hit LW again. I only have about an hour tomorrow AM anyway. I want to ride the KM, no studs for that bike yet...
