Trail of Tears Parking

I've decided to stop parking under the power lines for the Trail of Tears. A lot of weirdos hanging out there lately. They either just sit in their cars, or they are wandering around the transformer/power station/whatever the F that buzzing thing is.

Last time I was there (12/10) I parked at the tiny trailhead on Chase Rd. No weirdos there, except maybe us ;D

Huh - I've seen a couple weirdos at that spot too. I wonder if that's a "rest stop" for locals, iykwim.

I now park off Race Ln in the dirt lot. Great place to start from as it gives you some trails to warm up on before you get to any of the hills and such.

a couple of years ago I went to trail of tears & parked at Chase rd. A bunch of locals who gave me the grand tour, they refered to the parking at the power lines as the "pickle parking" area.
