OK, my bike collection has actually gotten smaller I swear.... this project just took a while. I'm currently down to 2 mtbs and a road bike & 'cross bike. And then this one. The frame, crankset, hs and one of the rims were given to me by a buddy in NC a while ago. I built some new wheels with Surly hubs (free/free rear) and Mavic Open Pros and added the old mtb bar, a UN 72 bb, Schwinn stinger saddle, ODI grips, canti levers and old 600 brakes and a new front tire. Gearing is 39x16 which works well given the hills around here. The cranks are 165s which are little short for my liking but it's mostly going to be an errand bike. I've put a few miles on it (little more than 10) this week and it's a blast to ride. ;D
