We (Lynn Woods Maintenance Volunteers) were able to complete 100% of our sixth trail maintenance project. This trail work was completed (picture posted below) near the Wolf Pits area at the bottom of the Bow Ridge Trail Network.

In record time, we were able to "CARRY" 2000lbs of lumber almost 0.5 mile to the job site and assembly the 72 foot long ladder bridge with only 6 VOLUNTEERS total! The team was highly motivated to complete this bridge and we hope everyone will enjoy this new feature in Lynn Woods.

I want to extend my personal thanks to each individual (listed below) that helped complete this project. This was by far the biggest and most back-breaking project attempted by Dieselbikes, but the team finished the job! I look forward to see everyone again in future trail builds and/or maintenance projects.

Volunteer List:

Tina - Lynn, MA
Simon - Somerville, MA
George - Somerville, MA
Chris - Rowley, MA
Sam - Lynn, MA
Gerardo - Lynn, MA

Thats a nice looking bridge! You ought to work on increasing your work force next year, you could get tons done with an army, if you can build that with 6 ;-)

An army of volunteers would have been great. I received over 15 e-mails prior to this trail day from individuals saying they were going to be their. But no one who e-mailed me showed up.

I planned on building this bridge with little help. With my past experiences in the military planning engineering/logistic projects, it is better to plan with minimum resources.

All of my projects are planned this way. If I get more volunteers than I need, I always have additional trail work to do other then the main job. With any projects that require volunteers as the labor, you must have alternate plans to keep everyone busy and motivated.

The army is small and maybe it may grow with future trail projects.

Very impressive accomplishment, especially for a small crew.

Great job, thanks!
