Just got this off of DEM's website:

Deer Archery - 10/1/05 thru 01/31/06

Deer Muzzle loading - 10/31/05 thru 11/18/05

Deer Shotgun - 12/3/05 thru 12/11/05

Small game - 10/15/05 - 02/28/06

200 sq inches of orange are required from 10/15/05 - 02/28/06, with 500 sq inches are required during 12/3/05 - 12/11/05. Usually a hat equals about 200 sq inches and a vest takes care of the 500 sq inches. Be careful out there...

I have not been able to confirm it but "orange" may actually be necessary already. I checked the website and read the same as you but have heard that there were new seasons added beginning in September that required orange. Jim Grimely works closely with DEM at Arcadia and he was told as was our webmaster that orange is required. Check:

You might be correct, however all the signs posted still say the 3rd Saturday on October. I also have not seen one person yet wearing orange so far this month. I have mine tucked away in my camelback just in case.
