To those of you that ride some of the wooded areas along the Minuteman Bikeway, here is an opportunity to give something back to the land. This boardwalk will connect the north side of Great Meadows to the Bikeway side so you can cross the wide marsh all year without a floatation device. And because we are working both days of the weekend, you can still attend or volunteer at the Hub on Wheels event on Sept 25.
Hope to see a solid NEMBA turnout.
Thanks

Please join the Friends of Arlington’s Great Meadows on National Public Lands Day weekend for a day or two of fun and accomplishment constructing a new boardwalk. We will be working both Saturday September 24 and Sunday September 25, 8:30am to 4pm to build the longest boardwalk ever in Lexington at 448 feet. Meet in the East Village nursing home rear parking lot, 840 Emerson Gardens Rd (corner of Bryant Rd), Lexington. Bring a hammer, work gloves, drinking water, and dress for wet conditions. Lunch and instruction will be provided. Students interested in community service, please contact Mike Tabaczynski at mjt1@rcn.com to pre-register.
