I was wondering if anybody had some info, good or bad about these bikes???? A friend got one awhile back looks pretty good and is light but I don't know much about mtb's yet... The reason I ask is he has to get new calipars for the front could just be a fluke but it broke fast....These bikes do take a beating though...

I don't have any experience with Motobecane or know anybody who does. But check out http://www.mtbr.com/ the reviews section, a very good source of info.

The best advice I could offer in choosing a bike is, throw a leg over as many brands and models in your price range as possible and choose the one that feels the best.

Good luck

When reading mtbr.com reviews, I usually concentrate on the bad reviews. When dropping thousands of dollars on a bike, it is easy to fool yourself into a good review. I especially ignore those great reviews from people who have used the product for less than a month.
