Just a heads up that my friend who worked at Camp Lyndon this summer contracted Lyme disease. It is most likely from a tick bite at the camp. She was very ill, but is recovering. There was a higher-than-normal incidence of the disease on the Cape this summer.
So even if there are no mosquitoes, wear some bug spray. Better yet, jump in the pond afterwards and do a tick check. Make sure your kids are sorted out, as well.
Maybe NEMBA can get EMS to donate a case of citronella cream or something?
Dont be afraid of the ticks! Just prepare yourself for a rocking good time.
