We will be doing some work on the Shaw trail on Sunday, September 11th. We will be working on a re-reoute around a wet area that has turned into a pond. This will include brushing/clearing and some rock armoring. There will also be some work done to complete a log bridge.

Hope to see you there!

We will be meeting at 8:30.

If you have questions, contact me at j.scalese@comcast.net

Directions:
From route 101, exit 5, take a right at the end of the ramp.
At second light (Irving Station), take left and follow route 27/107 for 4 miles to 107 North.

Follow 107 North for 3 miles to Reservation Road on the right. There is a sign but be careful not to miss it.

Follow Reservation Road, it will turn into a gravel road. We will meet under the power lines just after the road turns to gravel.

Nice work today guys (and gal)!

We acheived two goals. We bridged the wettest stream crossing on the Shaw trail and managed to have enough time and material left to bridge the minor stream crossing as well. EXCELLANT!

Dave , Paul and I rode both bridges this afternoon. No complications. Worked great.

Next project.. major rock work on the horshoe cove area.

I apologize that I could not make it, sounds like a fun and educational trail care session.
