Well I commuted by Bike to work today, and On the way Home I thought the ride was starting at 5:30 and There was no way I was going to get home , switch bikes/shoes/gloves/etc and get there on time. So I just went with the road bike right to the start. I got there about 5:25 and the silver turtle informed me it was 5:454 start , so I boigied Home , Which 2 good climbs in 2 miles, then Chenged every thing on the Mt bike, which felt really wierd after 20 miles on a road bike. then up the big hill to get to the other side were I joined up with PK, Z, Steve_B, IF_rider , the Silver turtle ( dirtrider2 ) and donny.
and we rode, here is the silver turtle dropping with me a little too close

That was friggin' steep! :o
Thanks for a fun ride! Good times. Great riding for the first time with IF_Rider, SteveB, Donny, and meeting a couple of other folks, too. I'm glad I got to hit a bunch of new stuff, too. Thanks for showing me the lines! I felt like I was smiling the whole time. (just not for the camera, apparently!) :D
So, you think those kids ever found the Landry's group?
Man that redeye is scary. In that halfpipe drop picture I look like I'm straight out of a Munch painting.

Pretty Soon Z's going to be trading that 5.5 in for one of those new Intense 6.6 bikes and a full face helmet! ;) ;D

Ha!
I've already got the FF, but there is no way I'm trading in the 5.5... I'm still in love! It's perfect for the kind of riding I love most -- epic, technical rides -- and it's totally versatile. (However, I am looking to upgrade the bars...)
That doesn't rule out the possibility of saving up for another one one day: one for endurance, and the other for size...
It's not a crime to have two, as long as they know about each other, right? ;D

Only 2? I have 4, and they all know about each other.

I never see serious women riders here in CT. This past weekend (besides my wife and daughter) I saw two accomplished women riders and BOTH were on Yeti 575s. Is the 575 the Mini Cooper of the biking world?

Those were some of the bikerag.com women and they are kick ass riders - very fast and very technically skilled.

True... I have 4 bikes, too, but the other three don't really count.
Only Papa Smurf's got what it takes! :)
