Slider is famous

The MTBR photo caption contest for this month is the picture I took of Slider, DNA and RC at the Snip last winter.

The back story:

This ride at the Snip was cold but mostly clear, until we got around to the North side of the mountain, where there was a lot of ice. Being the wimp that I am, I slowed down and walked stuff these guys were riding. There was a nice clear section which was fast, then a turn and this ice section came up. As with other ice sections these three guys rode it (or attempted to). As I came around the corner (slowly) I see all three of them on the ice. I made them sit still while I got out the camera.

Of the three, Slider was the only one with any kind of injury, his rib cage landed on a stump (he's the one in green on all fours).

I made a minor recant in the Forum on the "studs suck" rant after that ride. They still are more trouble than they're worth most of the time, but when you need them, you REALLY need them.

Even this ride, though, was mostly hard-pack frozen. Very fast. Except for this one moment, studs would have slowed us down a lot.

I think I have seen this picture before but even so, that thing is freaking hilarious!! And, the tittles are a hoot. Couldn't help but leave my own entry. Thanx for the link ;D
