View Full Version : My final post

August 25th, 2005, 07:24 AM
I get back from a fortnight’s holiday, and I find that I’m being accused of being someone’s alias. I saw this on Monday of my return, and I’ve taken some time to calm down and compose my thoughts so I don’t sound bitter.

I joined this message board after lurking for several months, and I didn’t think that anyone was going to attack me for being an alias. I think its pants that it’s happening, but I could give a toss, because I’ve decided that I don’t need that kind of abuse. I’ve decided to unregister from the board, and everyone that I come across I’m going to try to convince not to join because they are going to be accused of being someone’s alias.

To those that drove me off, I hope the air isn’t too thin up there on your high horses.

Cheesey Ryder,
I had to go back and review what was said to see what might have offended you so. I know the two people involved personally. Frankly I would say they are among the least high horse individuals you might encounter. One of them is on Vacation so he is unlikley to notice what you are even saying here. There is a guy on this forum who uses a very similar handle and has a similar sence of humor to what you were demonstrating. So yeah they both jumped to conclusions. There have also been cases where he has been highly suspected to be using an alias or to. Also I am not sure if you are maybe British but alot of yanks won't know what you are saying when you ask for an explanation by way of " What are you on about?" If I am wrong with this last guess I apaologize no offence intended. These forums tend to be a hard place for those with errr more "sensitive natures" not because people that use them are all dicks but because subtleties of humor, irony and sarcasm are often easliy mistook to be intentionaly offensive remarks.
Best of Luck hope you stayed around long enough to read this.

I'm not saying you are an alias, but if your real name is Cheesey Rider then I'm the queen of England.

Bow to me, bow you peasants.

I mostly lurk here also, and i have been here a while. If you are going to make a post like this then take a lesson or two first. Might i suggest going back through the many justbill sagas. Now there was real drama, pathos and imagination. ;D

:-*justbill :-* you know i speak only the truth.

Sounds like you're way too sensitive. You get some flack on forums once in a while.

As far as forums go, this one is very friendly. I come here because its a nice respite from the crap over at MTBR.

I gather a couple people mistook him for Mr Cheeze in disguise and gave him some grief in another thread.

(That's a guess tho..)

Pronunciation: 'fOrt-"nIt, 'fort-
Function: noun
