My wife's first race

My wife did her first race tonight which was cool. Now here's the thing, it was 90 degree's, wet, and it was xc.

she liked it. she was tired after the first lap because she only decided to race about 2 hrs before. she'd rather race dh but not much of that around these parts. this is a great series. runs from april till the end of august each week and rotates between 3 venues all within 20 minutes of our house. one of the venues usually runs a dual slalom series as well but this summer they are turning a portion of the area into the US Olympic white water center and they had to close the ds course. the ds is going to return next year for lazy folks like myself.

unfortunately the last race of the season is next week and she start's her new job as well. so it's time to start training for next season.

i was going to race yesterday, but i had to watch my dog while she raced, plus i had already ridden............maybe next season.

Nice to see you so supportive of your wife's racing. That's awesome! It's so refreshing to see couples so in-tune with each other's interests. Happy trails to both of you!
