Living is awesome. Riding is........well........different. not nearly as technical, lot's of man made bridges/drops depending on where you ride. we have a place about 10 minutes from us that is a 7 mile loop. has some roots, couple little drops that flow well into the trail. super fast, tight single track. if they put berms in you would have a 7 mile ds course. we rode a place a couple of weeks ago, where i got hurt, that had insane northshore stuff. riding scene overall is pretty good although caters more towards the xc crowd. what is cool is they have a xc race series that runs on tuesday nights and moves between a few different venues. also, you see a lot of "mountain bike parks". they'll charge like $2 to ride but the money goes back into the park for things such as trail maintenance, new construction of trails, and *gasp* the construction of stunts. and it really shows because the trail up-keep is impecable.
still missing new england though. like they say, you don't know what you got until its gone. maybe someday i'll make a guest appearance at a ride up there.
