I hope this is not getting too old, but here is my biweekly Kingdom Trails Post.

Today the trails were pretty greasy because it rained hard up there last night. I rode with one of my regular riding partners that rides a GF Sugar. He had drivetrain issues about halfway through (I love my single speed), so we cut the east side of our ride a little short. I am beginning to string together a series of trails on thh west side of Darling Hill, and I have it almost ideal for me. I forget the names of all the trails, and I do not have the map in front of me right now, but I will repost when I have the list.

I still do not have a great east side loop hammered out. Again I do not have the trail map in front of me right now, but we did KNOB/BONK, Rim, Leatherwood, East side trail, and because of my riding partners drivetrain issues, we cut it short and finished up on Vast to Harp.

I think ideally I would have hit ketchel (sp?). Does anyone have some easat side suggestions. I have ridden heaven's bench to ridge to rim, and that is a pretty nice series of trails. Given more time I would have tried to hit widowmaker.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated. Our next trip is in two weeks.

P.S. for those that want a rough estimate of the west side trails we did here it goes:

Harp to loop to somethingorother that leads right to fenceline to coronary to loop to Bemis to Tody's tour (we skipped beaver trail, but will probably try it next time) to west side trail to webs to west side trail to dry feet to west side trail. We pause alongside the river for a snack and a breather. My legs alway s feel a little heavy after this stop, and I would like to omit/shorten it in the future. We then climb up hogs head to border to old webs (right fork) then back onto border. At this point in the ride I was tempted to do old webs again and take the left fork. From Border we cross the field to the east side.

If you have read all of this I apologize.

Cheers,

SSnoob (single speeds rule).

PAW,
On old webs do you do the lower trail with the jumps or the upper trail. Our last time out I did the upper trail, and it is pretty sweet. We were going to go back around and do the lower trail, but we were running low on time, and my riding partner was having drivetrain issues (damned derailleurs ;)).

Any suggestions for the east side?

We are heading up again this Tuesday. It will probably be two solo-ones, and softail geary and a hardtail gearies (all KHS as the other single speeder is a dealer). Be sure to say hello if any of you are up there.

I did the lower loop, I think. We went in by the farm gate, and took the high road to the top. then we took a right at the top and rode some super swoopy stuff with jumps that bottomed out by the sand pit. It was a killer hot day, and none of the guys I was with wanted to do it again, or I would have tried to ride the other section.

Nice.

Both times I have ridden it, we follow border to the meadow and enter it from the top. Then you can rail down the upper or lower side.

I remember the weekend you guys went up there. It was brutally hot. It should be nicer tomorrow, as long as the rain holds off.

Without a doubt; Toady's Tour. With a recent reroute, it makes you feel like you've been shot out of a cannon!
