SS at the KTA

Yesterday I completed my first SS ride at the kingdom trails. We stuck to the Darling hill side.

The trails are perfect for single speeding and pretty much rock in general.

There were two of us on single speeds. I was running 33:19 and the gearing was ideal (for me) there were very few places (one or two) I had to get off. The other guy was running a similar ratio with a 40toothe chainwheels (40:23). I have included a map of our route attached to this file.

I was running 32:18 there last weekend. No problems (except for the cramping and heat exhaustion). That is a great place for an SS!

I was following your trip planning on the other forum. My wife went away on a business trip this past weekend, so a trip up to join you all was not in the cards for me. It sounds like I missed a pretty good time.
