So I'm on my way to build a new trail the other night (bike content), and I turn the corner and see something strange in the road up ahead. WTF?

I pull up and ask the guy what the hell is that you have on. "A sumo suit and a trike", he casually answers. OK, good enough.

Oh, the temp was in the high 80s and humidity just as high. At least he had a helmet on....

Haha ;D

I heard kids get bored way up in NH.
I had no idea the extent of the problem. ;)

Put a Dean under that Samurai, and I'll use it for my avatar.

What is that thing? Does it work on the principle of rollerblades, but connected like a ticycle? That might be pretty cool...

My daughter "Ms. Impulsive" bought one of those trikes after she saw one on the plane on the way home from a family trip to Moab (bike content). She's used it maybe 10 times in the first week she had it and hasn't used it since.

It is a pretty cool device, it pivots in multiple directions allowing you to weave back and forth to propel it along. It looks very easy to do in the infomercial on line at www.trikke.com. Of course its not THAT easy. I have ridden it and it is cool, but more in an oddity kind of way. The hip motion is a little bit like skiing, but way more exaggerated.

Note - I just went back and looked the videos at Trikke.com and some of the freestyle stuff is pretty amazing.

::) I own one of those sumo suits... It stays inflated with a little fan and runs of a couple of D or C batteries that you clip to your waistband. I gets a wee bit warm in there...

I was recently reading an article in a bike magazine that was a rant against those trikkes. According to the author they were taking people out during a group ride in LA. I guess they take up a lot of space when they go down the road. Nonetheless, nice picture.
