As far as those of us that like to use the forum. No shame, no flame. You are a member of NEMBA or not? Minkhiller, yes.

Pay attention members I said no flame....those willing to admit that they are not members of NEMBA need to be respected! I would love to hear why you use the forum if you are not a member. Don't hold back tell it like it is.

It's also time for some of you "say nothings" to say something. :-X

As I look at my photo wall of Gerry Cheevers at his best I must admit my advocacy interest only started in the last year and a half. Does that make me a rookie....I hope so. I also strive to be a good one! Why is it that a majority of our group would know who Gerry Cheevers is? Means we need to get a younger group involved, like I have said before...gnurider you got some more recruiting to do. Don't let this be a deterrent to you telling why you keep track of our forum.

You are an MTB sales professional, you are a land manager looking to see what NEMBA is up to. You are a local gov't offical looking at how the crowds that use the trails are fighting. Come on trolls...speak.

I've somehow ended up with two memberships going at the same time for myself, along w/ one for my wife, and I think my dad has me on his 'family' membership too. ;) First joined somewhere around 7 years ago. IMBA member too.

I'm not :o

a thousand shames on me.

Ben-O is a Yes-O.

But mind you, this forum is how I found NEMBA and ultimately joined--so non-members are certainly welcome here. I see the forums as a hook, line, and sinker for membership.

yes I am a nemba member, but I wasn't for a while because I forgot to renew the membership.

Which leads me to my next idea. why not have an online membership renewal/purchase page. You could base it on paypal to make is secure, and easy. Also you could have a button for donations.

I just re-upped and got the whole famdamnily membership. So, technically, I recruited some young blood. Except for my oldest -- the only bike she'll get on is a Harley.

Ditto.

I was always an anti-establishment guy, but I have seen the light. The lobbying power of an organization like NEMBA is amazing. The first thing land managers ask is who will maintain this new trail we're proposing. When you look them in the eye and say our organization consists of over 4,000 members they do take note.

NEMBA has done a lot for me, and hopefully I have reciprocated. I ask people to join and tell them there's no pressure to come to trail days or participate, that's up to them. Their $25 and name on the membership list means lobbying power and that's enough for me.

I'm not a member, I just lurk around for good stories and places besides my back yard (barkhamsted res/blue trail) to ride. :-[ Some interesting stories and writeups too.

I'm part of to many other clubs to really be active, mt biking has taken a back seat to prepping my car for various summer events right now. ;D I'm looking to try my hand at autox and see what it'll run down the strip... But still bike a couple times a week...
