Since I got the go ahead to at least road ride from my surgeon, I had the opportunity to take my new Specialized Dolce Elite on her maiden voyage. After not having been on a bike since December, it was AWESOME. We did 20 miles on back roads of southern NH, visited some folks and just had a wonderful ride. The mountain bike will be getting tuned for next month real soon. It sure is good to be back on two wheels.

congrats on the ride. I love NH, but we live in RI :'( Maybe when I retire I'll be up there. Most people I know are trying to retire down south I'm going North.

Well, it feels way better than it did before the surgery. I still have to do some work on range of motion, and my hand goes numb sometimes when I'm sleeping, but I've been told that's normal. At least I'm pretty much pain free.
It feels great to ride again. I'm looking forward to seeing you all back on the trail!
