Any one doing any adventure trips this summer or fall. I am looking for ideas. I did North Rim of Grand Canyon last summer. It was awesome.

Has any one been to Maah Daah Hey trail in North Dakota. It is longest continuous single track on US. Also thinking of Kokopelli Trail from Colorado to Moab.

Any input appreciated

My buddy DNA is doing the Durango to Moab hut to hut thing in two weeks - its 33 miles per day for 7 days or something right? I could handle the miles, but I'm not sure how my butt would handle 7 long days in the saddle like that. I'll let you know what he thinks, I'd give you his contact info, but he probably wouldn't have much info for you as he's not much of a planner - he's going with others who are doing the planning for him.

For a little bit of everything, adventure, scenery and fun - Kokopelli is a great choice.

I just finished a trip through the Maze (Canyonlands Utah). A good way of describing this trip is, fun riding, the BEST scenery of just about any trip you can think of, and high on the adventure scale (remote, backcountry style). Many of the trails were typical Moab stuff though - jeep style trails, but basically not an abundance of singletrack.

If your looking for strictly "awesome" singletrack riding (focus on the riding not the scenery) with some challenging climbs, great descents, fun switchbacks, twisty-swoopy gladed runs etc, I've heard New Mexico is a good choice...again, not high on the scenery though.

What outfit are you touring with. I went with Escape Adventures for my Grand Canyon trip. They were excellent...

Western Spirit, I did the white rim with them last year and they were great.

The Kokopelli is awesome. I did 5 days in Fruita last month and it is unreal. Some of the climbs are nasty and you may be right about the 7 day in the saddle; I heard that was a problem. Check out Over the Edge Sports at google for info. BTW, you could spend a week in and around Fruita and pretty much not ride the same trail twice. Plus excellent Mexican food. ;D
