So, I get home from a nice pleasant bike ride on a warm sunny afternoon. Starting at about 3pm, my house sat on the very edge of a big storm for over 3 hours. This thing just sat there. Lots of distant lightning and thunder, and every now and then some light sprinkles.

Finally, at 6:30, this thing decides to move in. Tons of close lightning strikes, window-rattling thunder. crazy thing is still going on as I type this (8pm).

About 15 minutes ago, the sun came out just as it was setting. Very odd. Pouring rain, lightning, thunder, and this orange globe shining in my west window. Out my east window, fog. The sun sets right between a fog bank, and the tail end of this storm. Very eery.

So, I'm thinking. This weather here has been seriously f'd up the past few months. Record snow, a week of brush fires, record rain, a wicked Noreaster in May, and now this crazy stuff.

So I wonder, who else is getting wierd weather? The Pacific states! California, Oregon, Washington, have all been getting record heat waves. Seattle had it's first heat advisory EVER a few days ago.

So why is this? Why New England and the west coast? Hmmm, they are all BLUE states! They all went to Kerry in the election! When did all this crazy weather start? January! Right after Bush begins his second term.

Coincidence?
