Okay, this is something I don't totally understand, but in 12 days, the FEC is going to consider new regulations pertaining to online political blogs. They are considering whether or not to restrict Blogs from stating political opinions, as part of the campaign finance rules.
You have 12 days to email the FEC and tell them what you think. Do you think Joe Schmo, who runs his own blog with his own money, should be allowed to support any political candidate any way he wants and print whatever he likes? Do you think Joe Schmo should be subject to campaign finance rules if he accepts paid advertisers or donations?
If you want to keep political blogs alive, you need to send an email. You don't need any specific references or info, just tell them your opinion on it. This upcoming ruling could quite possibly seriously limit political bloggers.
