10th Anniversary Blue Hills Mountain Bike day is coming up fast & furious! May 15th is the date and it looks to be huge with lots of demo bikes to try and more sponsors than ever! That means even more SCHWAG !! And more riders looking for a leader to show them around one of the (THE) nicest places to ride in the Boston area. If you ride BH at all and are always looking for company on a ride, well here's your chance!
Or if you're not as familiar with the place, you can always ride sweep or assist the leader of a large group.
If you're interested, either way, let me know and I'll put you on the schedule. Just let me know what time is good and what kind of ride ( first timer, beginner, mellow, aerobic lung puncher, lunch picnic ride, kids, womens, PYT, epic, Buck Hill scenic loop, intermediate, advanced, etc WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL YOUR RIDE....I'll fit it into the schedule) Rides will start every 15 minutes from 10 till 1.
Email me.
IF you want to host an earlier ride that's cool too....
OR, you can just come and enjoy the day !! Either way, the event is from 10 til 3, with all the usual bells and whistles, plus some (you'll get the official announcement soon), and of course, Joe Sloane's Very World Famous Bike Limbo Contest of which I am vying for Dynasty status(third year in a row in the 26" division), so unless you wanna see my mug all over NEMBA stuff AGAIN, you better start practicing getting LOW, cause I need the competition!!
Seeya there!

Hi again ;D is there anything for kids that don't ride yet to do at this event? I want to bring my family but I am the only one that rides. My wife is interested in riding as she has always been athletic. Is there bike rentals at the event? I am thinking about renting her A bike for the Arcadia fun ride 5/22 just need to find a babysitter ;D

Steve I sent you an email but thought someone here may be able to answer too. I know I am asking at the last minute but thats me ::)

Thanks
Shawn

Not specifically. If they are of training-wheels or even tricycle age, there's plenty fun with the obstacle course and limbo bar....not really any non-bike related 'activities'. With littlest ones there, its best to either tow them in a trailer or otherwise stay with them. There are plenty of 'picnic' areas and playgrounds around the pond also....
No bike rentals, but there will be a couple of sponsors that will let you sign out a bike and 'demo' it. That's first come so best toget there early to sign up.
I think I did get your email, so I won't be redundant and respond to that too.
