I thought I'd post some pics of my new SS. I went out to fort rock (exeter, NH) the other night for the first ride and I think I might just have fallen in love with biking all over again. So smooth, so pure...so non-distracting. I might get rid of the rigid fork,though...after 3 hrs at the rock, my back felt like I had just had three hours with THE Rock, not Ft. Rock ;)

So anyway, right now I'm running 32:18, which seems ok to my newbie SS mind. I was able to ride just about everything I tried to, sometimes even better than I usually do on the gearie with front suspension! ;D Without further ado, here she is:

I've got 2.4 Panaracer Fire FR's on there, with 35 psi rear, 30 psi front... holy traction, batman! I was wondering, what gearing and tire setups do other SSers run around here? Are there any group rides that SSers run/do? I'd love to hear from other SSers about where they ride and how to get in on some rides with other SSers....

Holy Moly that On One is beautiful - if you don't mind me asking - how much did it run you ball park wise and where did you get it in that green color??

Gorgeous bike!!! 8)

Thanks, I kinda like it too. Frame and fork were a little over $500. When I ordered it, I found out that the white (seen on their website) is only available in the complete bike. The frame comes in "tank green" here in the US. I found out about the company from a friend, and after searching far and wide for a shop found only two shops east of the Mississippi that could get it. So I had my LBS (Wheel Power, Exeter NH) look into it, and now they're a dealer. So far I'm really happy with it.

That thing is beautiful!
Nice ride! I like the tank green.

PAW-where are you at in Exeter?
I live there and can be seen on a converted Trek SS.

Let's ride sometime.

Dan - a couple of us are going to ride wed afternoon at 4 pm if you're interested. We're meeting at the RR bridge parking lot. Probably ride till dark. I live in Dover. I was hoping to make it to the trail day a couple weekends ago, but the rain and wind scared me away (sorry). I did see the work you guys did...nice job on the reroute through that mud pit! I am still interested in helping do some maintenance out there if you're ever going out for some unofficial work, or need someone to do something out there.

Cool Jason-
Thanks, I can't make it today, but I'm thinking of riding Saturday afternnoon, since I won't be riding Sunday morning (momma's day). I'll keep you in mind when I need extra man power for the un-scheduled events out there.

that bike looks sick.

Thanks! It's been getting lots of orange juice and rest, so I'm hoping it's better by my ride today... ;)
