Look like a nifty idea, pricey yeah but cool if reliable.

Interesting. 130mm Over Locknut dimesnion = road app for the most part. That will make it tough for a lot of mountain bikes out there. Maybe there's a spacer kit or something for mtn bikes...expensive little bugger too.

That thing cost more than my whole bike. Sounds like a good idea though, nice ground clearance... but how many chains/cassets/derailers etc. do you have to destroy for it to be worth it.

We'll have to see if in the coming years it starts to become standard equipment for bikes.

hmmm for $995 you get a 4.67 lb hub that isnt disc compatible. I think the Rohloff has a proven track record, cost the same and is lighter.

I just saw someone with one of these just the other week, and I would say disc compatibility is a definite plus.

Both companies claim it's maintance-free...which would be, oh, so sweet. ;D

I agree Rolhoff is a better product, but I know someone who just put one on and he says it's more like 1200 when you get all the parts you need. I rode it around the lot and loved it. It shifted instantly even under torque. I hate the whole derailluer setup, but I can't justify that kind of cake for my kind of talent.

Yeah I have seen a couple Rolhoff hubs out there. Supposedly they get better as they break in also. I understand the $ is about the same for the Rolhoff though.

I can't imagine disk computability no being available. That would be plain dopey in today’s market. The main difference I see is that the Rolhoff actually still has gearing so it shifts, yes? This thing has a drive "ramp"....And I to will be staying with deraileur shifting for the foreseeable future!

But I wonder what the warranty is? It should have a lifetime coverage for that kinda coin.
