Anyone interested in doing some riding near Leominster, MA?
I'm new to the area. I go to BC but I live out in Leominster.
I want to start the season off with some beginner trails though. I need to ease back in.
Peace,
Matt

Matt, a bunch of us are locals and call Leominster SF our home area. There might be a ride in Leo late afternoon tomorrow.

Hey Matt, Dennis here, another one of them there locals.
You moved to a good area for riding - what's your schedule like? Be happy to take you out and show you what's where.

Hey Matt,
I live and ride @ Leominster, and would be happy to take you around the area I know.
PM or weekends is best for me.

Geez, what's in Leominster's water? Everyone sounds so friendly. ;) It's gotta be a trap!

I think we collectively want to promote the place. It's got its share of use, but for the size of the resource, and its close proximity to 495, it could use more, and it seems to be an unusually difficult place to organize group rides at for some reason. ::)

Actually, I think it's very cool of you all to be so receptive to showing people around Leo. It will always have a special place in my heart since it's where I learned to ride.... and broke my first bike!

Sat and Sun afternoons are usually good for me..... you really don't want to know me before noon, probably not a good idea to put iced coffee in the camel pack ::)

I'm going to be in Lynn Woods with a friend from college, even though it's much earlier in the day I don't think I could do 2 rides in one day....

I tried last year to organize some rides @ LSF on thursdays PM, but could only get 1 or 2 people occasionally to come. Interest is a bit depressed.
The rides were still cool though. Learns some new routes, rode with some new people, and it was all better than riding solo.
This week, it looks like maybe tonight 5/2, and probably either Thursday 5/5 or Friday PM 5/6.

I was, "**sick**" today, so I went to Leo early today and did 2.5 hours. I figured the weather was going to turn bad later on. I'd be interested in riding Thursday or Friday afternoon, say after 5. There's also sometimes a ride on Wednesday nights, but I haven't heard anything.

A few of us are planning to ride Wed nite, Rocky Pond lot around 6. Hope some of you can make it.
Mark, I'll bring along that helmet lite.
Kilroy, nice meeting you in the lot last week.
Went for a wet little ride on the Midstate tonite on the spur of the moment. Good times ;D

Okay, - call me fickle, but I found out this AM that there's a Wendell ride tomorrow PM also. If I can get out of work early enough I'm going to try to head up there. I think some of the guys will still be riding Leo though..
sorry for the confusion...it seems to follow me around.

I'm still planning on riding Leo tomorrow PM. If the other contingents of the Slaphead gang aren't going at 6 PM, or others interested in a ride would like an earlier start time, I may head up a bit earlier, to get on the trail at about 5PM.

Met someone today that also said Leo is a great ride. I have never been.
Wondering if any of you mates could do a Sunday afternoon up there? Show me around.
I still need to check the family schedule for the w\e, but it's something I would like to do.

Great! Looks like it'll be a good ride tonite! Dennis -- we can talk about Wendell plans tonite. Slomojo -- there's usually an "impromptu" ride on Sunday afternoons. This being Mother's Day, you should check a little closer to ride day for things to finalize. I'm planning on riding in western Mass Saturday, but I might also hit Leo Sunday afternoon, and if so, the pace will be a little slower, perfect for touring. Watch this space around Friday for developments. Weather looks great this weekend!

I'll likely be able to sneak over on Sunday PM also.
Leo's got lots of sweet trails. You'll dig it for sure.
Catch you guys over there tonite! Travis is coming from Boston, so we might get rolling a little after 6 if he gets stuck in traffic. (just a heads up)

Great ride tonite guys, and a nice turnout! Thanks again to the freeride gurus, Dennis and Stork, for giving me a new level of performance to aim for! Sorry for not heading out to the festivities afterwards -- I wasn't being anti-social, I needed to drive home while my leg was still functional. I'm now dosing myself up on Advil, Tylenol, and wine. This is gonna hurt tomorrow......

Not at all! He's a great trail dog. Just a bit disconcerting until you get used to him banging a 180 and heading strait at you at full gallup! :o

Hey, a small group of us will be going for a short ride @ LSF this Friday 5/6 @ 6PM. There are some newbies so it will probably be a short ride -w- frequent stops. We also will have a few dogs with us, but it will be fun never the less.
If your interested.. we meet off Elm St / Parmeter Rd for a ride @ 6PM. I'll be in a grey F350 -Dave

Gotta love NE! Where the hell was all this precipitation this winter? Just yesterday, the long range forecast was dry and sunny thru next week!

;D I got a kick out of that too. I love riding w/ dogs; can't wait til mine's ready to come along. Good times.
Mark - way to hang tough after that crash. I didn't realize how good you banged yourself up until we got back to the lot (many miles later).

Cool. We'll be there with a neurotic springer spaniel and a siberian husky with selective hearing.
