Last week I damaged the threads on one of my eggbeater pedals when my crank failed and the pedal broke loose. I looked on their website to see if they sold replacement spindles and found that they only listed the Ti spindle which was an extravagance I can't currently afford. I wrote to them yesterday asking if they also sold the Stainless Steel spindle and they wrote back within hours offering to send me a replacement. It is nice to know there are companies that provide exceptional service. Those are the companies I like to support.

I had a similar experience with Camelback last year. I E-mailed the warranty guy, shipped the old bladder back, and I had a new bladder within 2 weeks. Specialized is always a good company to deal with when it comes to replacement issues.

Good to know.
I recently changed all 3 bikes to eggbeater style pedals.
I love'em.
I do have a question about the Candy's.
I got a new pair and they don't spin freely on the spindle. I don't remember having the same issue on the Eggbeaters.
It doesn't seem to affect my performance, and I tried getting some lube in the spindle, but to no avail.
Do I just need to break them in more?

I have re-built several of my pedals and it is real easy. You could simply pull yours apart and see if something is binding or if the bearings are tight. They have a real good warenty policy if there is an issue.

I took the candy's apart (they are brand new BTW), and nothing seemed to be binding or tight.
I'll have to re-check them, they still don't spin freely.

I bent one of the beater parts on my right Mallet and they sent me a new one no questions asked!
AOF - they need to be lubed, but not out of the box. My mallets spin ok but the regular eggbeaters spin kinda "stiffly". They both feel like the bearings are sealed tightly but no dragging.

Properly greased bearings will not spin freely. When they are spinning freely, then they need to be repacked with grease. There should be no binding, or "indexing" when you spin the bearings. If there is, then either the balls, or one of the races is damaged, and needs to be replaced.
