April 15th, 2005, 11:17 AM
WHAT – Merrimack Valley NEMBA’s 1st Trail Day of 2005
Part of the MERLIN / NEMBA trail care series.
WHERE – Lowell Dracut Tyngsboro State Forest
Park at the Trotting Park Road entrance off of Varnum Ave. in Lowell
WHEN – Saturday April 23
We’ll meet at 8:30 and we’ll be ready to hit the trails at ~8:45. Bring work gloves and your riding gear if your interested in riding afterwards.
WHY – Because were not satisfied with 6 new trails in two years.
We have a plan, permission, and a proven track record of getting things done in Dracut. We need to continue our efforts to take back the forest and transform the trail system of LDT into a destination of choice for all users.
So the message hasn’t changed. We need our core volunteers to show up. And for others that have sat on the sidelines, what better way to start the new season than to donate a few hours for trails that you’ll be using for years to come. Drop me an email at n.blanchette@comcast.net so I can get an accurate head count. For more information on Merrimack Valley NEMBA visit http://mv-nemba.org
