Wilderness First Aid

I've been thinking about taking a wilderness first aid course and am completely stuck. I've visited the AMC site but their seminar is a little pricey. (No suprise there!) Anyone have any suggestions? I think this would be a great thing for a chapter to get involved with.

I just attended a SOLO Wilderness First Aid course organized by AMC in Connecticut. It costs what it costs. The course I took included 15 hours instruction, plus CPR and five meals, and an overnight for $130. That's a bargin! If you are out in the woods, you need this course. Some of the AMC chapters pay part of the cost for their leaders to take the course or otherwise subsidize it. I think it would a good project for a chapter.
