Haven't been there in ages, but I did a lot of my early riding at Franklin SF up behind the Y at Forge Park in Franklin since I lived in Bellingham at the time. But fair warning, it tended to be one of the last places to dry out so the conditions may be tough for now. Another good place to advance your skills would be Foxboro SF - bit of a further hike for you, but a super venue for trying new skills. When you're ready, you gotta hit Vietnam in Milford of course! Call Jeff at Milford Bike for info on group rides. Good luck and Happy Trails!

Blackstone Valley trail? Are you talking about the old canal path, also called Plumbers Landing / Blackstone Canal SP? If you didn't get off the main trail, which is basically a 7 foot wide path, you missed the good stuff. Some of the good trails might still be damp, I haven't been there since December when it was frozen. The singletrack can be found near the north end of the sand pit and across 122 on the hill.
What type of riding places are you looking for?

Yeah, I entered on the memorial hospital side (Belmont St) and exited through plumbers landing, soaking wet of course from the river that had rose about 2 or 3 feet.
So when I entered I came to a intersection to go left or right (towards goat neck lock?) I went left and got to the sand pit area I think you’re talking about and went straight to where some company is. Turned around and went down the some trail that looked promising but got stopped by a pool of water? Turned around again and headed back to goats lock and exited through plumbers. Was there something I missed?
As for additional trails, this was too easy even for my first time since in my teens. No crazy drops but something pretty adventurous, somebody said I should try Foxboro, but I def look forward to Milford.

Yep. All of the "good stuff". I had a feeling the trails closest to the river might be under water. The Blackstone was WAY over it's banks earlier in the week after last Saturday night's rain.
Check your PM's.
