I am really considering of getting a transitions preston FR and its cheap and all i have heard about it was good. what do you think.. for an all mountain bike? ???

They seem to get good reviews from the people that own them. It's a small company which is both good and bad. I have heard good things about standing behind their products and the prices are evidently very competitive.

only small complaints I have about mine is I wish the TT was a tad longer, tha chainstays a tad shorter, ( basically .5" in each case) and the derailleur hangers were more stout ( but they are very cheap to replace). They used to have a weird sized seatpost but thats been changed for 2005

look up username "edge" on the Busted Spoke forums (http://www.bustedspoke.com/Forum/), he has a nice black one, rode with him last week.
He seems to like it.
