DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IRONHORSE'S 03' MODEL - - "PATROL" FULL SUSPENSION FRAME. I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH THIS MODEL. THIS ONE IN PARTICULAR HAS TEKTRO 10' DISC BRAKES... AND I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH THIS BRAND EITHER. YOU CAN TAKE A LOOK AT THE BIKE AT

IF ANYONE CAN LET ME KNOW IF THIS IS A DECENT MODEL THAT WOULD BE A GOOD FREEDRIDE BIKE AND A LITTLE DOWNHILL AT BOLTON VALLEY THEN LET ME KNOW. THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR HELP.

I've never heard or seen that model. What's the intended type of riding you'll do? 2 years may be close to a bikes lifespan, if it was used as a DH bike. A lot of new parts on that bike, could be it's been ridden hard for 2 years? The brakes are entry level. Alex rims are light weight, not for DH or hucking. What type of rear shock is on it? If he really needs cash quick, offer him $500. If you really want an Iron Horse near that price range, I suggest looking at a new one:

I've never heard or seen this model Iron Horse. In my opinion, the bikes that Iron Horse markets as DH/Freeride are all good bikes with quality components and decent frames. They usually use the 4-Bar link in the rear suspension which is a good setup. Given the entry level components you named, you may want to look elsewhere at something with better brakes such as Avid mechanical discs, or Shimano Deore Hydraulics and wheels such as Ringle Singletracks or even Rhino lites might be better for what you're looking to ride.
