Well it has been a long struggle for me, but I've come to the conclusion that I should try to seek new homes or ideally one new home for my two dogs.

I'm living alone right now and going through a divorce and between my time at work, my time with my two sons and my other personal time, I do not have the proper time to give to my two dogs. Also with pending child support payments (it sucks to have to pay a cheating ex but it has to be done) I really can't afford to keep the dogs financially either.

I've been agonizing over this decision - but I think the time is right to try and find new homes for Bailey and Missy.

Bailey is an 8 year old Black Lab/Husky Mix and he's very well natured and good with kids and other dogs. He's been very well cared for and is not overweight and he acts like a dog half his age. He weighs about 70 pounds or so and would make a great family dog.

Missy is probably around 6 years old and she's a terrier/cattle dog mix. She's very affectionate, very fast, and loves attention - a really great dog. Very obedient.

Both dogs were adopted from All Breed Rescue organizations while I was living in New York State. They are both wonderful and ideally it would be great if they could find a new home together vs. having them be split apart from each other. They are great together and I'd really like to try and keep them together.

I'm looking for new homes for these guys - preferrably together and I would love for the new homes to be with good people/families in CT (preferably in the Greater Hartford Region) who would give these two the attention and time they deserve to have.

So if you are interested in adopting two fabulous dogs or if you know of someone or a family interested in adopting two dogs, please get in touch with me.

Thanks for any help you can provide me with this extremely tough decision.

Please feel free to PM me or email me at mmcg25@gmail.com for more information and/or to express interest in the dogs.

Much appreciated.

Mark

I've struggled with it for months now PK, but I feel it is the right thing to do. Hopefully I'll find someone close by to adopt these two great dogs.

I'll have to find other outlets to be involved with dogs as well. Maybe some volunteer work at a shelter or something.

If you can help out in any way that would be great.

I'd love for the dogs to go to a mountain biking family because I've met so many kind and fantastic people through riding. Hence my post here and at other mtb forums.

That's rough. A few months ago I would have seriously considered taking the both of them, but we rescued our puppy Cheif in December and I think 3 dogs along w/ a 9 month old baby would be a too much for us. I will ask around though.

There's a pretty current dog thread over on BS you might want to chime in on w/ this also.

Good luck,
Dennis

Those are some beautiful dogs, if I wasn't living in an apt in the city I'd have a hard time saying no (especially if Stacy saw them).

I'm still in search of new homes for my dogs - please spread the word or better yet, consider bringing one or both into your homes.

I'll provide a lot of dog related items to any adopters including toys, a crate, dog beds etc. etc.

I'm reaching my wits end over this and could really use some help.
