Dan Rathers last daze's

Anybody catch the retrospective Dan Rather is doing all this week... on himself! The fluff piece is called something like a "reporters notebook". Now we've all seen this kind of stuff before but this one is strange because there's no third party involved and Dan's name is never mentioned. Dan set up the story line and then shows old news clips of himself. Can't they find anybody to say something good about him?

I don't see why they couldn't. I used to watch.. what was it, Nightline? for a while late at night instead of Letterman or Leno and I thought it was a great show. It's too bad he either let his politics interfere with his work, or got bamboozled by his crew. I guess he's pretty liberal. Maybe that's why I liked his show. Recently I saw old Viet Nam era footage of him. He must have been in his 20's. He was, and still is, a good reporter.
