Anyone know who has these in stock?

Looking for a 2" receiver hitch for a 2001 Chevy Venture.

Got the phone #'s to every auto parts store in Mass/ NH.

Got a Thule 4-bike rack for cheap!

Congrats on picking up a cheap bike rack. I made mine ;D

Pep boys, Town fair tire, Auto Zone, etc. have to wait at least a week.

Local RV/Trailer places all can get them today/ tomm.
I called 4 places and there was a $100 difference between them all for the same make/ model of receiver hitch.
(Got that off the 'net.)

UHaul will install their brand for the price of the others and then you have to install it yourself with the other brands.
Maybe UHaul is the equivalent of Huffy, but......

Wahoo! Now I can take my bike to Florida!!!!

You know i think he's right. I have seen them at walmart before. I'm not sure what specific vehicles though. Installation is a cakewalk with a hitch. The only part that might get tricky is the wireing harness for a trailor. But from the sounds of it you aren't dealing with that

If you have a step bumper, you can get one at Walmart. If you don't, then I would go to U-Haul.

U-Haul is the same price and they will install?

Whats the question? Go with the U-Haul

They are the largest volume trailer hitch installer in the country. I think the volume is where the get the savings. As far as quality, I would argue that they have a greater stake in their product being made right as they hold a higher liability if things go wrong with it. If you install it yourself, then even if the product is crap, you are on the hook as the person who chose the model for your application and performed the installation. I bet there is a paragraph of small print leagleeze explaining that very thing on every hitch box you see in the store.

I think he wants to pull a bicycle around not a 5000lb trailor. $100 Walmart. I think uhaul is around $250. If you do it yourself you will need a drill that can bore through the frame of your car.

I always thought if you bought the correct Hitch for your vehicle you would NOT need to drill. I know the one on my tacoma goes through existing holes in the frame ??? I guess there are different installations for different brands as well

All done.

UHaul had a few hickups today; hitch mechanic (Is there such a thing?) called in sick, then the manager installed the wrong size (1-1/4") had to remove to install the correct size (2") but of course they were missing some hardware. So that further delayed the process. Tried to increase the price from what was originally quoted, took 3 hours longer than when they told me it would be done........

But hey, the bikes with be with me, on Friday, when I drive to FL.

Wahoo!

Bike On!

I got my hitch at U-Haul. Exact model for the vehicle. Somewhat professionally installed with a warranty. No complaints here.
