If the snow is too deep for your bike, then do like our friends up north....

My wife talked me into going on this little trek thru the woods instead of skiing. I was a little hesitant, but was I wrong! It was a blast. So put away your bike and hitch the dog to a sled and off you go........

I remember my first try at "driving". I think there was 8 dogs hooked up. At first I rode the sled until we got well into the woods. The girl driving asked me if I wanted to try driving and I said sure. She told me to work the sled just like I was water skiing, It was at this point that I should have told her I had never been waterskiing before.
After the first turn we realized that I had a little problem with my method of trying to make the sled go around the corner. Now I had to advise her that I had no waterskiing skills. Once I got the knack of it I had a lot of fun. Those dogs are fast and efficient.
Glad to see you had or have the chance to do this, if anyone else ever gets the chance, try it. The team that I drove at the time later move to Alaska and the dogs and or their decendants have run in at least 2 Ididarods that I know of.

FYI - I was at Mont Sainte Anne norht of Quebec. The dog sledding is adjacent to the mountain (basically on the golf course). By the way, the downhill was excellent as well.
It also turns out that the area has excellent mountain biking in the 'off' season...

Mt St A has an awesome world cup mountain bike weekend. I can't remember the name of the place that has great brick oven pizza down the road from the ski area.
