Man that's funny, I looked at that guy's Ebay store last night. Those are some sweet wheels, but they aren't blue.

When i got those Mavic d521 i learned how to guild just to make them copper clad. I wanted electroplate but its a 3 part process to coat aluminum and cost was a deterant.
Those wheels are worn out now, and the spokes are past their rated cycle duration so i am in the market for new wheels. I know disks would last longer but again cost is the deterant. I'm not switching if i cant go first class so its rim breaks/brakes till the hubs wear out.
I'm open to suggestion. The present front runner is a handbuilt set from www.spinlitecycling.com using my old GT/Hadley hubs, Sapim C-XRay bladed spokes(possibly copper electroplated), and Velocity AreoHeat rims in electric blue powdercoat.
or i could just make hot dogs on a stick

you think its easy being high maintenance?

i'm gonna have to put in my vote to stay away from the gt disc hubs at least. not sure what kind or year you got, but i had a wheeelset on my i-drive that had 01 gt disc hub, as an upgrade option, i only used em for rim brake, but i split teh rear hub shell in half. it just twisted inside the drive side flange. just goes to show, clydesdale need higher torque tolerances for their bikes. course the fact that i mash sometimes when i pedal didn't help.
