Me and my friends are going to try and get a team together by this season. We are thinking this would be for high school age or younger riders who live in SE mass. This wouldnt be limited to DH, we would like to do anything and everything team members want to do including DH, trials, XC, 24 hour races, etc. Its really up to the team once we get it together. This would also involve group rides and helping the riding community in ways such as trail maintainence. Once we have a basic idea of how many people are interested in this, we are going to start contacting sponsors with our ideas and see what kind of help we can get. This might involve team discounts from sponsors, but don't be expecting a free bike or anything out of this. We will also need to figure out some way to do fundraising, and with that money make team uniforms (in other words t shirts with team name and sponsors' names on them) affordable or free to members, maybe even cover some of entrance fees or get ourselves a team canopy for events. Right now I am just gauging interest so I can go see what sponsors the team could get. So if you think you would be interested in such a thing, please let me know.
