Rode with my daughter (she on her horse) this afternoon. It was fun, though horses and bikes aren't exactly well matched as far as speed is concerned. Still excellent to be in the woods with someone I love doing something we both love (even if its not the same thing!).

So, you're saying that you are so fast, it was hard for your daughter to keep up? ;D

The way it works out, she can go way faster than I on the uphills and on flats (depending on how rocky it is). On the downhills I can blow them away. The bad thing is that horses are natural followers, so if I go fast, the horse tries its best to keep up, which is not usually safe. In the end I ride really hard on the uphills and flats and go really slow on the downhills.
The funny part is that after a half hour of riding I'm sweating and my daughter is cold. Obviously not as much work to ride a horse as it is to pedal.
