The Bikes Belong Coalition just announced that it is helping to fund part of the East Coast Greenway trail in New Haven. Here's what it says:
Connecticut’s Shoreline Greenway Trail, Inc. will receive $10,000 for construction of the Branford Section. This 27-mile segment will connect New Haven to East Haven, Branford, Guilford, and Madison and will be an integral spur of the East Coast Greenway. It will also provide off-road access to Connecticut’s largest state park, several beaches, and other trail networks. The trail is the first of its kind in the area and will serve as a demonstration project for town and regional government bodies, solidifying support for further federal funding for trail facilities.
