Johnny D and I rode Borderland today. At the trailhead, I realised that I forgot my camera at home, so no pics. We parked at the main lot, and rode the usual trails that we ride.
The hikers did a fairly good job of packing down the trail, but in some places, they didn't keep a good pace line, and the trail was difficult to ride. If you stayed in the packed trail, the riding was decent. As soon as you got off the pack, your tire sank deep in the snow.
We rode only 3 miles, but they were difficult. It felt good to be back on the bike.
