Rode at Salmon River today. Why oh Why didn't I have my studded tires on? The perfect day for them.

It felt great to get out. So relaxed now. Its amazing what that does for my attitude...

hmmm. Do you think Bigelow or Shenipsit might be rideable Sunday morning? Salmon River is a little too far to drive......

There will be more snow at Bigelow and Snip than there was at Salmon River. I live about 10 minutes from Snip and I got 2" of fluffy snow on top of the solid snow below. That solid snow won't hold you up though, you have to find packed trails, of which I'm sure there are many at Snip. With studs you should be ok, it will be a bit of a work out. Slider reports only a dusting of snow at his place which is kinda closer to Bigelow so maybe that won't be an issue.

I would expect there to be a LOT of ice at Bigelow, there's a lot of water at that place.

Not sure. I do want to ride, though. Did you see Quo posted a ride at Borderland tomorrow at 9:00am? I'm up for anywhere, as long as the drive isn't too far.

Give me a ring. I'm just hanging at home tonight watching hoops.

I walked a bit of Bigelow today, and it is rideable where it has been hiked or skied. Maybe a little icy, and the dusting it got this morning will make it hard to see the slick parts. If you're a stud user, no prob. Without 'em, you might have to toss it into the deep stuff every once in a while, but I'd have given it a try if I had more time.

I did a 3 mile hike out at Crandall's in Tolland today. I saw some bike tracks and someone unloading a bike in the parking lot. It was icy in spots, but far less than down at Salmon River, would have been a nice ride.
