well there was some ICE on our driveway today , and My son wanted to try out his new Home made studded tires, So on the tires went and they worked great on the ice. Then we decided to get a little more adventurous . figured we go and try to ride the Nam. Well it was marginal we went in a couple hundred yards and came back. him at 60 pounds was actually having an easier time than I was , he was so light he wasn't breaking through the crusty snow layer as often as I was. I really think if we didn't get that snow a couple days ago and it stayed rain it would be ridable right now .

any way here is my Boy.

At least it's getting close to ridable!

When you broke through the crust, about how many inches of snow was there below?

Hey Splat give Joe Elliot his jeans back, Def Leppard is touring again and he might need 'em !

Seriously Arcadia is fairly rideable due to foot traffic - soft ice and a few inches of snow cone type icy granular. Kind of a hike but if you're really itching to ride.... Stacy and I are headed to Wachusett tomorrow, if not I'd give you the 10 cent tour of the north side.
