Ok, i'm looking at this K2 road bike, I am not entering the Tour-Dey-Anything. I want something to get some conditioning with when I want a change of pace from MTBing. Would the Mach 3 be a good bike for me? The deal is for around 700.00, do the components make this a good deal? Anyone have anything to say good or bad about K2?
Please don't tell anyone I inquired about a road bike.

Thanks all.

Nice bike, I cant say anything bad about K2 - my wife has one of their mtn bikes, and it was a good deal, spec'd nicely, kinesis built and lightweight too.
'Had a chance to take it on a test ride? How does it ride? How 'bout fit?
A quick word about fit: For most road riders I know, fit was the first and most important consideration on their road bike - and it made the biggest difference overall. I had my fit adjustments done at Cycleloft in their "fitlab" on my last road bike, a Litespeed Classic (A bike I've since sold). The best thing about a fit, is you get to walk out with a set of measurements matched to your body, that you'll be able to use for the rest of your bicycle buying life. Just exactly what I did when I went to get my next road bike. The one Cycloft uses (when you bring a bike in to them) was the "New England Cycling Acadamy Fit Kit".
It made such an unbelieveable difference in how the bike rode, felt etc. It was also an eye opener to see how "off" I was in setting up the same bike for what I thought was the correct seat height, stem length, bar width etc. If you can do it, it's worth it in my opinion.

I picked up the bike yesterday. I still have some minor adjustments to make but for the most part the fit is comfortable. I need some time in the saddle to be sure of my positioning. It's been a long time since I was in the saddle of a roadbike, so much for just hopping on and going.
