The Steelers are going to be tougher than the Colts. The Steelers are a better team, and we are going into their house. BUT, the Steelers have a history of folding in the playoffs. We beat them in their house 3 years ago when we were the wild card. If the Patriots play their brand of football, then there should be no problem with the Steelers. Yes, they beat us once this year, but we had no running game that day. We will have one next Sunday. Besides, Rothlisberger's luck has to run out.

Awesome quote from #54 (espn.com)
"I'm trying to think of what excuses they're saying in their locker room right now," Tedy Bruschi (two fumble recoveries) said afterward. "What rules do they want to change now? Maybe it'll be, 'We can't play a game if it snows.' I don't know. I was just tired of it. I was tired of hearing this and that, talking about the last game and how we didn't win the game, they lost the game by giving the ball away. Last time I checked, turnovers are when defenses take it away. And we just took it away again today. To hold that offense to three points, I mean, their players are great. I respect what Peyton Manning did this year. I respect those players. Sometimes you've just got to be quiet and play football."
Ha Ha Manning!
Roth is next!

Excellent quote! I don't know if any other team in the league could hold the Colts to 3 points in any stadium. Sweet stuff.

When the Steelers rolled over the Pats earlier this season it was largely due to Ty Law getting injured in that game, right? Now they are down a few more key players but the rookies have had some games to get them up to speed. The Pats' D was superb yesterday. Holding Indy to a field goal just before the half was key, because Vinatieri had been the only scorer in the game so far and the Colts would probably have gone into the locker room up by one with momentum. I missed the 3rd quarter so can't say much about the Offense, because I think that was their best quarter. It appears that they got it done though!
I won't make any predictions about Pittsburg. I thought Indy was going to be closer. It will be a different kind of game. Pittsburg is a tougher team, closer to NE's style. I agree they have to shut down Bettis, but Roth too. I don't know squat about the Steelers' D. Aw what the hell, New England by..... oh, say... 6. If I'm going to go out on a limb, it's gonna be for the Good Guys.
Anybody see Philly vs Minnisota? All I cought was that fiasco of a trick field goal/pass that the Vikes messed up so bad.

funny read from the Indy Star forum on how the Colts could improve for next year, here's mysuggestion: "not play the pats!"

The Pats were also without Dillon and Faulk when the lost to the Steelers.
Should be another great game.

The Pats seemed to KNOW what offensive play was coming, and were ready every time. All that motion at the line did its job, I think. And that Bruschi play where he ripped the ball out of the hands of the carrier - that pretty much summed it all up for me.
Great game to watch. You can't see better coaching than that.

I saw some Boston based football "pundit" saying that that is exactly what Belichick and his staff are great at. They know who does what on the opposing team and can anticipate closely what play is coming. Looks like they're also good at transferring that to the guys on the feild. Of course you still have to have men who play with a lot of heart out there.

Anybody else see the resemblance of the 2001 Pats and the 2004 Steelers?
The matchup is real good, I'll pick the Pats by a field goal (going out on a limb).

"Steelers over the Pats, 35-17"
That's quite a stretch TrailBail after seeing how the Jets blew that game two different times! Steelers rookie quarterback is starting to look like a rookie. Shut down the running game and let the rookie beat you. Ain't gonna happen. You should see Bill Belichecks record when he faces the same quarterback a 2nd time in a season. Hasn't lost yet.

The Patriots are going to the Super Bowl (TM) for the 3rd time in 4 years. I think that we can beat the Eagles. All we have to do is contain McNabb.

This SB is almost like this years world series, the team the Pats/ Sox beat to get to the big game was the one I was worried most about.
Just a formality, the Eagles will be happy to finally make it to the SB after 4 tries in a row.
The Pats will be the the newest "D" word.

What a game! And all without Law and Seymour, who should be back playing in 2 weeks.
Funny how this game turned out like i thought the Colt's game would have, and vice-versa.
Anymore predictions Trailbait?

I won't be horribly disappointed if the Pats lose. 2 superbowls out of 3 is pretty good. along with a world series. We can't complain.

Nor do we have to! An amazing victory, particularly with Wilson lost in the 2nd half. I think there should be a national holiday called Super Bowl Monday Recovery Day.

I really didn't care too much who won until the Eagles started talking out their asses, especially TO. Then I wanted the Pats to kick their arses.
